Galaxy announced its own version of GeForce GTX 295 graphics card. As the name implies, a graphical map of Galaxy GeForce GTX 295 Overclocking Edition factory is equipped with acceleration, and the clock frequency of 650MHz core clock, 1400MHz shader clock and 2200MHz memory clock.

Galaxy GeForce GTX 295 Overclocking Edition Graphics accelerator uses a single PCB and has two GeForce GTX 200 GPUs and 1792 MB DDR3 memory with 896-bit interface. In addition, the card supports NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology and Microsoft DirectX 10.

Hitachi 2TB HDD 7200 RPM Launched

Hitachi have managed to create the worlds only 7200RPM 2TB hard drive. That’s quite an accomplishment. The key here is not only the massive amount of storage speed, but more so the speed that the drive spins. With it spinning 7200 times a minute it allows for faster read and write access than the other similar drives which only reach either 5400 or 5900 RPM.The drive is named the 7K2000

Logitec Japan launches 1.5TB external HDD

Logitec Japan has introduced the new LHD-EN1400U2, a 1.5 external HDD packed in a simple and slim USB case. The size is only 32 x 183 x 120mm, with automatic power on and off.

Apparently the change of the models will be on the connection ports since there will be only with USB 2.0 port, one FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 port, one eSATA and USB 2.0 port, and another model that will only eSATA port special for computers and laptops that already have this entry on the outside can use these external disks as if they were treated inmates.

There is still no information about pricing or availability of these devices, but are expected to be launched no later than April.

AMD Athlon II X2 240 and 245 Processors

AMD has introduced it two new AMD Athlon II X2 models : the AMD Athlon II X2 240 and

the AMD Athlon II X2 245.The AMD Athlon II X2 240 is clocked at 2.80 GHz and the AMD thlon II X2 245 is clocked at 2.90 GHz. The AMD thlon II X2 240 has a bus multiplier of 14.0x 200 MHz, while AMD thlon II X2 245 is a little higher at 14.5x 200 MHz.Both the processors are based on the AMD’s 45nm Regor core, which is a monolithic dual-core, with two physical cores on a die, and no L3 cache.

In both the chips the L2 cache per core is 1 MB, which makes it 2 MB of total external cache. It uses a 4.0 GT/s HyperTransport 3.0 system interface, and comes in the AM3 socket package that supports DDR2 and DDR3 memory standards.

LG FX1 Multimedia Hard Disk

There are many portable hard drives that are also media players, but this is one of the best looking we have seen to date, the LG XF1 Multimedia Hard Drive. Measuring a 20.8mm in thickness, the XF1 features a gorgeous gloss-black finish with smooth curves, and internally, it has a 500GB and a codec decoder that only reads exclusively FAT32 and NTFS. So, it's not as Mac-friendly as we would have hoped.

Around the back, there is a HDMI connector, a power plug, a composite AV output, and a mini-USB jack. The drive has on-onboard touch-sensitive buttons for navigation when you forget to bring along a remote. Video and sound codec compatibility are isn't too shabby, including OGG Vobis and AC3 for audio, but the lack of H.264, WMV and MKV is really a letdown even if the XF1 can playback MPEG-2, DivX and MPEG-4 in HD resolutions, up to 1080i.

AMD Phenom II X2 550 BE Review and Specification

Today we presents the Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition processor. AMD has made a successful transition to the 45nm fabrication process, giving the Phenom II series the necessary breathing room to prove it has what it takes to go head to head with the Intel Core 2 range.

The Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition is based on the exact same 45-nm Deneb core AMD uses in their latest Phenom II processors. The only difference is AMD activates two processing cores, leaving two cores disabled. Because it’s based on the same core as AMD’s other Phenom II parts, the same key architecture features carry over unchanged. The chip features 64KB of L1 cache per core for data and instructions (256KB L1 total) and 512KB of L2 cache per core for a grand total of 1MB of L2 cache active on the processor. The L3 cache carries over unchanged, with the Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition sporting 6MB of L3 cache shared amongst the processors two cores. Like all AM3 Phenom II CPUs, the chip also features a 2.0GHz memory controller.

Finally, the most important remaining spec for the Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition is its clock speed. AMD clocks the chip at 3.1GHz, which the chip featuring a 15.5x multiplier. Keep in mind that as a Black Edition CPU, the multiplier is unlocked and can be adjusted to whatever setting you wish when OC’ing AMD lists the max TDP for the Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition at 80W.

Last week we saw ASRock M3A780GXH/128M with AMD chipset. Today I'd like to introduce you to yet another motherboard with an AMD chipset.The GA-MA770T-UD3P uses Gigabyte's famed Ultra Durable 3 technology on this budget friendly AMD socket AM3 platform. This technology brings 2 oz copper PCB and further helps to reduce the system temperature and dramatically enhance the performance. Based on AMD 770 chipset, the GA-MA770T-UD3P supports all the 45nm AMD AM3 Phenom II series processors that feature DDR3 memory controllers and HyperTransport 3.0 technology. To top all that off the board also features Easy Energy Saver technology to help conserve power and be green friendly

The AMD 770 chipset does have some limitations though and the most obvious is that it lacks support for multi-GPU configurations as it sports just a single x16 PCI Express 2.0 slot for graphics. Looking at the AMD chipset specifications site for reference, we can see exactly what this chipset offers compared to the 790X and 790FX chipsets. According to AMD the 770 chipset lacks ATI CrossFireX Technology, Quad PCIE Blocks, GPU-Plex Technology, and Auto Xpress. Three of these features revolve around the board only having a single PCI Express 2.0 slot, so if you only plan on running one video card these features don't mean much to you. AMD Auto Xpress technology is a feature that automatically activates with AMD/ATI components to deliver better CPU, GPU, and system performance. If you know your way around a BIOS you can manually set things, so again no big deal. What you end up getting here with the GA-MA770T-UD3P motherboard is a solid single GPU platform that is able to run all the latest processors for under $80! Not bad at all! ASRock M3A780GXH/128M Review

ASRock, known for their niche filling boards, has released a series of boards based on AMD's AM2+ socket, but the M3A780GXH/128M we have here today is one of their first AM3 motherboards. Coupling AMD's 780G chipset with integrated ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics and the SB710 southbridge, this $89.99 motherboard strives to cover lots of ground with its IGP configuration and three PCIe slots supporting CrossFireX.

As mentioned above, ASRock has a number of AM2+ motherboards and after looking over the M3A780GXH/128M specifications and layout it appears ASRock has culled all the positive attributes from their previous motherboards and combined them into a single platform. For a budget board expansion opportunities abound, and while it is obvious a few things were cut in sake of price point, the board is still a solid offering

Edge Tech 128GB USB Flash Drive

Edge Tech announced their 128 GB USB Flash drive. Kingston’s announced their 128GB DT200 USB drive in advance of Edge Tech’s announcement. But it is Edge Tech that has come out with the cheaper flash drive, Known as the DiskGo 128GB USB flash drive, this drive is more than $150 cheaper than the Kingston USB drive.

The DiskGO drive will come encased in a durable aluminum housing with encryption software thrown into the mix for added protection. Edge Tech is also offering protection for your data with the inclusion of CryptArchiver Lite encryption software, a trial version of CryptArchiver which allows users to encrypt up to 25MB of data using 128-bit AES encryption. Edge Tech offers the full version of CryptArchiver for download through its support site which can encrypt up to 32GB, and exceeds the U.S. government standard for encryption strength. Users can choose which cipher method they prefer: 256-bit AES or 448-bit Blowfish encryption.

The new drives will be available July 31.Edge Tech will be offering the units for $389.95 with free shipping. Each comes with a lifetime warranty and toll-free tech support

Samsung Unveils 32GB DDR3 Memory Modules.

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the world’s first memory modules that carry 32GB of DDR3 memory. The devices are aimed at servers and enable never before seen memory capacities.The 32 GB module offers four times the density at significantly reduced power levels compared to the 8 GB memory modules of today. The 32 GB uses 1.35 volts which will not only reduce power levels but also help to reduce the overall electronic footprint.

The 32 GB module is inspired by the Samsung’s 50 nanometre (nm) - class 4 GB DDR3. The 32 GB model uses 72 4 GB DDR3 chip and nine quad-die package (QDP) 16 GB DDR3’s for a collective 32 GB configuration.
The DDR3 DRAM market accounts for 29% of the total DRAM market in 2009 and the International Data Corporation (IDC) estimates this number to rise to 75% in 2011. Furthermore, according to the IDC, 2 GB or higher DDR3 DRAM will rise from 3% to 33% of the total DRAM market by 2011

Pricing of the 32GB RDIMM was not announced.

Toshiba adds intuitive backup software to personal storage devices

Toshiba's newest additions to their line of external portable hard drives come in 500GB($150) and 320GB($120) capacities with an array of new color choices including green and blue. But the most facinating feature is that the hard drives comes with a an enhanced backup software.

The hard drive comes with backup solutions for both Mac and Windows OS. Windows users get the benefit of NTI's BackupNow EZ software for one-touch data backups and even grants the user the ability to create a boot disc or even boot directly off the drive itself. In addition, the software also offers personalized recommendations on the best way to protect and store sensitive data.

Mac users, on the other hand, get NTI's Shadow 4 file-based backup software and can schedule incremental backups in a "set it and forget it" environment. This new line of external HDDs also work with Apple's Time Machine right out of the box, giving these users a healthy amount of extra storage.

For those worried about data security on-the-go, Toshiba covers its bases with an extra password-protected, 256-bit encryption.

Kingston announces world's first 128GB USB flash drive

We all heard about USB flash drive manufacturer Kingston, they again created another milestone by introducing their new USB flash drive.

Kingston has announced the release of the DataTraveler 200 (DT200), the world’s first 128GB USB Flash drive. This is apparently the world’s largest flash drive in terms of storage capacity. The new DT 200 lineup will include three different models with capacities of 32, 64 and 128GB. The large capacity along with password protection gives users the flexibility to carry critical data with them at all times in a very small form factor

Even though the price is slightly expensive, users who don’t like the hassle of carrying many portable drives for a massive database can consider it. “The The Kingston DataTraveler 200 features a capless design to protect the USB connector when not in use. The drive is enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost (A technology available in Windows Vista and Windows 7 that uses any kind of portable flash storage as a drive for disk cache in order to improve system performance), however Password Traveler will not operate properly if ReadyBoost cache is enabled on the drive.

“The new DT200’s robust storage capability lets consumers store complete libraries of music, photos and videos. It is also a great tool for business users who carry around large databases or files,” said Andrew Ewing, USB business manager, Kingston. “The password protection helps safeguard data and requires no admin rights, making the DT200 a terrific solution for the home or office.”

All three drives measure 0.39 x 12.52 x 22.78 mm, and come with a capless design with retractable USB connector. The new series should provide read and write speeds of up to 20MB/s and 10MB/s.

Kingston offers new DT200 USB flash drives with five years warranty and free tech support. Kingston will be offering new DataTraveler 200 USB drives at $120 (Rs. 5,700 approx.) for 32GB, $213 for 64GB and gigantic $546 (Rs. 26,200 approx.) for 128GB.
