Sony Ericsson has released a cool clamshell phone after teamed up with Dolce&Gabbana. They titled the clamshell phone as Jalou D&G Edition, a phone with 3MP camera, A-GPS, pedometer and FM Radio.
This stunner has a nice rose hue with real 24-carat-gold plating, so you don't want to be leaving this around unattended. The Dolce & Gabbana version of the phone will of course come with special packaging and accessories, like three satin bags and a special D&G headset with gold accents.
The Dolce & Gabbana version is simply a limited edition of the Jalou, which is designed to look like a cut jewel. It has a 2-inch screen that can double as a mirror at the push of a button

The Jalou will be available in Q4 of this year with other gemstone colors, like Deep Amethust, Aquamarine Blue, and Onyx Black.The price for the new Jalou D&G is unknown

Sony Ericsson W995 is the company's top-ranking Walkman and its spec sheet is clearly set to justify this label. The Flash-based user interface, which we've praised repeatedly, seems to be only getting better. There are no gaps in the connectivity set and the 3.5 mm audio jack is a long-awaited blessing.
Sony Ericsson W995 not only spares users the agonizing choice between Walkman and Cyber-shot. It has simply harvested all the high-end goodies and leaves nothing else to want. And all that skill is packed in a compact, solid and stylish body.
Now, it's not hard to believe it was all too easy for Sony Ericsson to get carried away. Amid the first ever and best ever hype they somehow overlooked video. Just like Sony Ericsson by the way, and it wouldn't have been a big deal if they didn't make a big deal of it themselves. Why bother put a kickstand when the commitment to great video was never taken seriously? No kickstand can make up for the lack of codec support, inadequate screen resolution and no widescreen aspect ratio.
And still, the poor video is the only major grudge with W995. We just hope it doesn't need to be reminded that the devil's in the details. In all fairness, video should not be make or break for the majority of users, especially when all the rest is up to scratch. It's just that Sony Ericsson W995 will be held to a higher standard. It can't help it, just like it can't help the heavy smartphone fire on the high end of premium all-in-ones.

Sony Ericsson Satio (a.k.a. Idou) is perched at the top of the touchscreen food chain with an ominous grin. The 12.1 megapixel camera is certainly one of the most interesting things going on here - it has autofocus, a Xenon flash, face detection, image stabilisation, red-eye reduction and geotagging. The Sony Ericsson Satio comes with Advanced GPS plus Google Maps and turn-by-turn navigation. The large 3.5" touchscreen will be ideal for this type of application, and because the Satio runs Symbian then it should be possible to load a different mapping application if you need it.
The operating system is Symbian S60 5th Edition, similar in capabilities to that found on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. It supports handwriting recognition, it automatically adjusts to screen orientation and it will support a wide variety of applications. Some of the bundled apps include a WebKit based web browser, built-in applications for Facebook and YouTube, email integration (including Exchange ActiveSync) and a multimedia player.
Sony Ericsson Satio On the subject of multimedia, the Sony Ericsson Satio also includes an FM radio, and there's also an 8GB microSD card included in the standard sales package which should provide room for plenty of media clips.
Underneath, the Satio is a quad-band GSM phone with UMTS 2100 and HSDPA support plus WiFi. In the US, a slightly different version called the Sony Ericsson Satio(a) adds tri-band UMTS support.
The Satio measures 112 x 55 x 13mm and weighs 126 grams. Sony Ericsson have not stated how large the battery is, nor how long the Satio will last on a full charge.
Other features include a TV out, plus of course USB and Bluetooth connectivity. The standard sales package has a stereo wired headset, USB cable, an 8GB memory card plus all the usual components. Sony Ericsson can also supply an IM920 viewing stand as an option, allowing the Satio to be used for video playback or on a desk.

Sony Ericsson ain't giving up the fight for cellphone dominance despite not being at the top of things, and their latest effort comes in the form of the T715 which ought to satisfy most average cellphone users
The Sony Ericsson T715 is a compact 3.5G slider phone. Despite the T715's old-style number (rather than a name), this is one of the latest generation of Sony Ericsson phones that comes with a microSD memory slot rather than the proprietary Sony slot of older handsets.
Measuring 92 x 48 x 15mm, the T715 is what Sony Ericsson call a "credit card sized" phone. Although it's more compact than / W705, the main drawback is the smallish 2.2" display where the W705 has a 2.4" display. There's a large, easy-to-use keypad. Sony Ericsson also say that the Tofu.. sorry, T715 has large fonts that are easy to read as well. On the back is a 3.2 megapixel camera with a photo light. The camera can also geo-tag photographs with their location, using the nearest mobile base station as a fix because it doesn't have GPS. The main camera can also be used for video calling, which isn't exactly useful for face-to-face communications.. but how many people actually do that anyway?
The T715 comes with the NetFront web browser, supports standard internet email plus Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, it has a multimedia player and FM radio plus a YouTube viewer. Picture and video blogging is supported as standard, and the T715 comes with a set of personal information management applications.
This is a quad-band GSM phone with support for 2100 MHz UMTS in Europe and most other countries, there will also be a T715a variant with tri-band UMTS support for North America. The T715 supports high-speed HSPA uploads and downloads, although Sony Ericsson have not quoted any data transfer speeds for this. Talktime on 3G is about 4 hours with about 14 days standby time. On GSM the T715 has 10 hours talktime and 16 days standby time.
