LG Viewty Smart GC900

The second Viewty phone, called LG Viewty Smart or LG GC900, is finally official, after several leaks and last week’s accident that brought us press photos with the handset.

Now LG officially announced the GC900 as the successor of the original Viewty, which, according to the South Korean company, was sold in more than 6.5 million units worldwide.

As you probably know, LG Viewty Smart has an 8 Megapixel autofocus camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens. LG the phone with an Intelligent Shot Mode which automatically analyses scenes and lighting conditions in order to adjust the camera settings. The company says that this mode “completely eliminates the need to check settings before taking a photo.”

The 8MP camera also features: sensitivity up to ISO 1600, Multi-Face Detection, Touch Shot, Panorama Shot, Beauty Shot, Art Shot, Continuous Shot, DVD-quality D1 video recording and LED flash – yes, there’s no Xenon flash in the second-generation Viewty, although the first has it.

The overall metallic feel of the phone is offset by a fairly light 102g weight,

which may not be to everyone's taste as it makes it feel a little flimsy. But there's no doubting that in making a lightweight and pocket-friendly phone LG has excelled.

One major drawback, and one that LG isn't alone in the habit of bringing to new handsets, is the lack of a 3.5mm headphone port. Of course, there's going to be an adaptor in the box, but given the amount of phones with such a socket (including the recent LG Arena) it just seems bizarre that this isn't here.

Overall, it's good work from LG with the Viewty Smart, and another sign the company is taking steps in the right direction as it seeks to challenge the dominance of its Korean rival Samsung.

LG BL40 'New Chocolate' Review

LG has released the first official information about their new BL40 ‘New Chocolate’ feature phone. With a larger 800 x 345 pixel screen which LG says ideal for surfing the web and viewing websites at fullwidth without any zooming necessary. Although not officially confirmed it is also expected to have a 5 megapixel camera 7.2Mbps HSPA, WiFi and A-GPS.

The fourth handset of the Black Label Series boasts a distinctive 4.0-inch wide screen high-definition LCD with an 800 by 345 pixel resolution for a superb viewing quality. The wide screen breaks away from conventional screen designs with a 21:9 aspect ratio for a panoramic, cinema-like quality and optimal mobile computing experience.

With the enlarged screen, users will experience a surprisingly convenient and efficient mobile environment. Browsing the Internet is made incredibly easy because with 800 pixels at one’s disposal, there is no need to scroll horizontally to read entire web pages. The 4.0-inch display also features a Dual Screen UI that can efficiently display two different types of content simultaneously.

The wide HD LCD “Real VGA” screen provides a full range of natural colors for displayed images, making photos more crisp, videos more true-to-life, games more dynamic and documents more readable.

LG FX1 Multimedia Hard Disk

There are many portable hard drives that are also media players, but this is one of the best looking we have seen to date, the LG XF1 Multimedia Hard Drive. Measuring a 20.8mm in thickness, the XF1 features a gorgeous gloss-black finish with smooth curves, and internally, it has a 500GB and a codec decoder that only reads exclusively FAT32 and NTFS. So, it's not as Mac-friendly as we would have hoped.

Around the back, there is a HDMI connector, a power plug, a composite AV output, and a mini-USB jack. The drive has on-onboard touch-sensitive buttons for navigation when you forget to bring along a remote. Video and sound codec compatibility are isn't too shabby, including OGG Vobis and AC3 for audio, but the lack of H.264, WMV and MKV is really a letdown even if the XF1 can playback MPEG-2, DivX and MPEG-4 in HD resolutions, up to 1080i.

Next Generation LG Chocolate –BL40

LG Chocolate was the best selling LG handset ever, selling over 21 million units worldwide. Now LG has plans to release the second generation LG Chocolate, the BL40 which will be fully unveiled in August.

The BL40 should come to the market with a 21:9 aspect ratio display (Cinema widescreen), which is just being introduced on normal LCD TVs, it seems. Moreover, the display of the LG Chocolate BL40 is reported to feature a 345 x 800 pixel resolution, while boasting more than 3 inches in size.

The device should come to the market sporting a thin form factor, though the phone in itself is also stated to be rather narrow.The handset will feature a 5-megapixel photo snapper, as well as GPRS, UMTS and HSDPA when it comes to its supported connectivity.

Other possible specs of the new LG BL40 Chocolate Black Label Series 4 should also include MMS capabilities, a proprietary operating system from the phone maker, as well as the Obigo Q7.3 browser that comes with full HTML support. LG Noval Network Monitors @ Rs. 11,000

LG GC990 Louvre with 12MP Camera

LG has unveiled to the world a brand new handset the GC990.
LG GC990 louvre looks the best camera phone that can leave behind the best of the bests.
